Ain't We all seeking Happiness? The Vedas In Hindu Dharma advocate every Human being should strive to achieve life's ultimate goal i.e the supreme understanding an understanding which frees you from all the worldly concepts and mental conditioning and brings you to the state of smiling mind and supreme comprehension, the Joyful state of Equilibrium. Assumption is a figment of imagination without any real experience or substance our mind our life can not change with mere assumptions.
Information is only raw data heard or read but not applied or experienced so it is also not capable to bring about a change. You cant swim just by reading.
Knowledge is information which is testified with practical application and personal experience. Once you experience you don't need any faith your experience becomes your inspiration and Guide. Experience is the only liberation.
Yogi Aboojhanand
Mind remains poor even after comprehending all the concepts. Because deep down mind is a beggar. it is superficial, always craving for attention and gets angry for not getting any heed. it doesn't matter if you are an educated wife or a Husband, student or a teacher, an aristocrat, artist, or an uneducated pageant every person is controlled and run by an automatic programming which is created by your long term choices, which turn into habits. your mind wants to remain congenial in that frame work and loves to run on auto pilot mode. Whenever something happens according to the expectations of your mind's programming it gets a dopamine kick and feels Happy. But if something goes different your mind gets annoyed because it's expectation is not fulfilled it feels a setback, like lost in a race. The Ego is hurt. Isn't that true? introspect deeply your mind wants to run the world according to it's wishes, it says, I am always right. Which is a kind of disease. Irrespective of our denial or admission to the fact, deep down we know we'r all sick with these symptoms.
Some are affected 100% some are fifty and some are 20%, the desire to be right, thirst for social recognition, being first, being the Topper. This is Megalomania. The prime cause of our distress and disappointment is our own expectations and insecurity. Can We Reprogram Our Mind??
We earn all the money get name and fame but ultimately we are left as lone losers, egoist maniacs or heart broken individuals. Chattering alone with our own ghosts. Is there any solution for this problem?
Practice social mindfulness (Hosting people while balancing inner silence) raise your understanding "Awaken the Guru(ignorance dispeller)/witness inside you". In words of Jesus "Return to the source" in words of Rumi "let go of the mind and be mindful" Guru Nanak says Do "Simiran" Shri Krishna tells do "Bramha Yajna" (study your mind /self enquiry or pay attention to the self, densification of the fire of the Silent Witness essence. This Source is addressed by different name Guru/Witness/soul/Lover /Sakshi/watcher /source etc.
Our first and foremost duty is to gather sticks of our senses, determination/will power (Atmabal) by patience & penance and make a fire(focus) (Densify the silence/Blank attention/Guru) If one works upon this Guru/Blank attention even for a little time this element starts to sprout and auto correct your life on the right path.
Attend to your silence like you attend the church or Temple for prayers.
Good food can be brought by money but not a good appetite.
A good bed can be brought by money but not a good sleep.
Good medicines can be brought by money but not Good Health.
Many people can be charmed by money but not a good friend.
A grand wedding can be bought by money but not a soulmate.
A supercar can be brought by money but not memorable journey.
A big castle can be brought by money but not a cosy Home.
World visa can be brought by money but not the joy of success and peace.
A lot of expensive stuff can be bought to occupy the mind but the soul remains empty unattended and thirsty. A true smile rises only when the soul is filled with nectar of gratitude.
Social skills can be learned by money but not the art of enjoying one's own spiritual BLISS.
Yes!!! You can lead a Godly life, it is simple. In Bhagavad Gita Lord krishna says when Karma (Duties) are not performed for the sake of selfish/prideful or sensual reasons but for Divine Bliss (God) it translates into Divine duties or Yajna* "Yajna" (By Yajna Lord means a service done without a trace of doubt in silent awareness. The service must be done whole hearted and earnestly, in a choice-less state (wether you like it or not without a trace of doubt /thought in mind) and dedicate your actions and its fruits to the Beloved God / silent witness/ awareness with gratitude and joy).
Thus performing Yajna* in all aspects of life helps librate humans from metal bonds (fictitious stories of happiness or sadness running in mind) and connect them with the supreme consciousness/ Universal consciousness and cuts through all the clutches of Karma. Now nothing belongs to them personally (nothing personal only Job) and everything belongs to the Beloved Divine consciousness (GOD).
*note-: Don't confuse Yajna with Agnihotra, that is HOMA not Yajna
If you are Rich and successful than you must spend time in Selfless Seva (service/ Nar Yajna) and try to give back to the society. You can work as a Healer, Educator, mentor, patron, career Counsellor, Spiritual guide or work as a soul therapist and create a positive environment around. This will not only enhance your social aura but will also enhance the divine qualities inside you.
It will wash away all your negativity and help you quash and rid your own ego. It will give you an opportunity to raise yourself to the Godly consciousness and fill you with Calmness, Grace and Divinity. With such work you will always be honoured and remembered by the society.
"Yajna*" (By Yajna Lord means a service done without a trace of doubt in silent awareness/mindfulness. the service must be done whole hearted and earnestly, (wether you like it or not without a trace of doubt in mind) and dedicate your actions and its fruits to the Beloved God / silent witness/ awareness with gratitude and joy).
“Brahma Yajna” to fulfil this Holy duty one must observe Yama & Niyam educate oneself by reading the Vedas, logic & reasoning, practice silence & solitude study your mind vigilantly and focus on the vital breath. Thus practicing silently, remaining mindful, alert and ardent one should leash the mind firmly, burn all thoughts in the fire of silence and keep densifying the fire of Silent Witness essence. With joyful prayers and will of the Divine Father the joy of Supreme Bliss starts to pour in no time..
"O Parth ! He, who does not perform according to universal course of creation by this tradition (means who does not perform his duties without expectations), is a sinful person who wastes his life for the enjoyment of luxuries by his senses".
Bhagwat Gita Chapter 3 – Karma-Yog verse-16
