What is a strong mind?
A strong mind translates into wit or wisdom. It is alert and never remains in confusion, it testifies every statement with logic, reason and past experience. It doesn’t dwell on emotions, is not biased and sticks to the facts. It doesn’t hold onto grudges or guilt. It is free from worries or excitement and lives in the present moment. It is equipped with a strong memory, acute learning, patience and deep comprehension. With these qualities it develops intuition, confidence and fearlessness. Such a mind is not afraid of walking alone and doesn’t seek validation from a crowd. It learns from every experience and thrives in silence thus it turns into a weapon which paves the path to success.
What is a weak mind?
A weak mind is a state of mental energy which is fluctuating moment to moment, hopping from subject to subject without diving deep. It is not stable and ensnared in confusion all the time. This type of mind seeks new excitement moment to moment avoids deep contemplation and once dissipated goes into sleep. It avoids silence and learning. It believes and follows rumors, general perception and miracles without logic. It reacts without considering the consequences and pays a hefty price. Such a mind seeks crowd recognition and likes to move with the crowd. Thus becomes a victim of its own fears and emotions.
What is information ?
People often mistake Information for Knowledge, information is raw data, something heard or read but not experienced. It is simply conveyed through communication. Schools, collages and books impart the learners information not knowledge. Information can kindle curiosity in the listeners or readers but real knowledge is gained by real experience only. Information makes a person Egoist and serious but knowledge on the other hand humbles him down and makes him playful.
What is knowledge ?
Knowledge is information testified with practical application and personal experience. Real knowledge can only be attained by regular practice and hard work.
knowledge progresses in six steps 1. By information 2. By discussion 3. By intellectual deduction & opinion solidarity 4. By practical practice, study & experiments 5. Enjoy the results & fruition 6. By imparting your knowledge to others.
What is an assumption?
An assumption is a belief without any substance that is taken for granted, often without being explicitly stated or questioned or proved.

The Upanishads say:
Two birds are sitting on the same tree. The one on the upper branch is quiet. It neither moves nor cries nor flies; it neither comes nor goes, it only sits serenely. The one on the lower branch is very restless. It moves from one branch to another branch. It jumps from one fruit to another. It is very restless. Both these birds are within you. You are the tree. The bird that is serene is called the witness/guru/soul.
Jesus says that you sleep in one bed, but there are two of you; one is dead and the other is eternal. You are the bed. When you sleep at night, within you there are both a lifeless corpse and eternal consciousness. Differentiate between the two; maintain the distance. It means hard work.
Shankara’s Vedanta propounds the concept that the universe is an illusion. This philosophy is an experiment of the same kind.
The practitioner has to remember constantly that whatever is happening is a dream. While getting up in the morning, walking on the road, in the midst of the marketplace, he has to remember: ”Everything is a dream.” Why? Because this is the method. It is a process. If you experiment constantly for eight hours, this remembrance will penetrate so deeply that you will remember it even in the middle of the dream; you will remember that it is a dream.
What can be more false than dreams? How many times on waking up have you realised their falsity, their uselessness? Yet every night you make the same mistake. Why? There must be a very deep reason behind this folly. The reason is: in your waking state you take everything to be true. If you take everything you see to be real, then how can the dreams you see at night appear to be illusory? You take them to be real.
You just need to remind yourself that everything you see is nothing but a huge drama in which you are only a spectator. You are not the actor, not the doer, but only a witness.

“Lesson of immortality”
Once a wandering saint wanted to cross a small river so that he could visit the nearby temple. He asked the boatman to take him across the river in his boat. The boat man said I am a businessman, I can't give you a free ride. He asked him what can you give me in return? The saint said I can give you the knowledge of “Immortal life”. The boatman agreed the saint remained silent throughout the journey. The boat man said we are about to reach the shore but you didn’t give me anything. The saint said observe silently, an alert observer becomes immortal. The boatman got confused. He said but I am in a river. What should I observe ?
The saint gestured toward a swan and said watch it closely and learn. The boat man saw the swan swim toward a drowning scorpion and spread its feathers near the scorpion. The scorpion climbed on the swan’s back. The swan took the scorpion to the shore but the scorpion stung at its back. The swan started to cry and flail in agony. Sensing the turmoil in the water a sleepy crocodile saw the swan. He grabbed it and ate both of them, the swan and the scorpion alive.
The saint asked the boatman did you learn anything from this event. The boatman said one should never help an evil person, it even stings its own savior. The saint said a good man keeps on doing good things whether he gets a fruit or a sting. A bad person is bad even to his own friends because this is his nature and an opportunist like the crocodile uses both of them to feed his hunger, but a wise man learns the lesson of immortality from everything. The boatman asked, "What is the lesson of immortality here? The saint smiled and said if there is a scorpion and crocodile in the water stay away from it. Staying alert keeps you alive and who is alive is Immortal. Please take me back.
Key take away - Money is not always required to accomplish a task you can be achieved by other means as well. Price should be paid towards the completion of the work. Life's direction is dominated by Habits. Swan and the Scorpion both were driven by habits (Automatic programming). An opportunist doesn't consider Devil or God he is simply focused on profits. Staying alert and focused saves you in adversity.

Calmness and a smiling mind is the highest achievement of human understanding, the greatest power you can hone. The only secret key to spiritual awakening is not to react. if you learn to be calm you will solve all problems. When you are perfectly calm there is no time for anything, mental Illusions, theories, everything becomes null and void. If you remain calm and handle every moment diligently, if you remain unconcerned about the fruits of your efforts or its outcome including what may happen tomorrow and surrender all your worries and expectations to the Universe and accept whatever The universe gives you with utmost gratitude then everything starts to sort out bliss starts to pour in your life.
The most important aspect of a spiritual life is to avoid reacting or attempting to change others and instead practice non reaction to anything at all. Live in the present moment with a smiling mind and avoid dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. Embrace the Eternal now where all is well.
Don't revel in the worldly madness and avoid reacting to situations, your body or thoughts, practice being a witness and cultivate Stillness in your mind. Learn to understand your thoughts and emotions without reacting to them. A Serene and tranquil mind like a still Lake can reflect the beauty of its surroundings, while a turbulent Lake cannot reflect anything.
Dwell in an alert smiling mind and your thoughts will be Quieten . When your mind is still and alert you can observe without becoming attached, observe your thoughts and allow them to pass without trying to change anything else. Don't follow your thought patterns just let them come and go, do not buy into your thoughts and do not fight against your feelings, simply observe them but do not react, relax do nothing. Do not hold on to your anger, do not react to your doubts. Whatever you react to is a product of the Mind it is only the mind that gets angry. It is the mind that becomes stubborn it is the mind that wants to control and regulate. It is the mind that gets hurt but if you are able see through your mind where is the anger, where is the depression and where are the reactions to situations they will stop to exist they exist only in thoughts, stop feeding them your attention.
The enlightened state is only Eternal peace, peace is the essence of consciousness. Consciousness is always peaceful, always Blissful and has nothing to do with external conditions. All conditioning comes from the mind do not try to alter conditions, do not try to change situations. Every time you use your mind to try to change something you are inflating your ego and that will give you even more problems, simply learn to not react to your thoughts making your mind passive and Serene and you will find that things will be better than you expected.
Recognize yourself space like. Do not see yourself as anything and always keep in mind that absolutely nothing needs to be done and this is how you become happy. It's totally joyful when there is nothing in the mind. Happiness itself becomes predominant and when doubt comes when anger comes to you when fear comes to you do not entertain them rather quickly shift the focus of your mind and do whatever it takes to rid yourself of the situation. Do not entertain fears, doubts and anger. No matter what your thoughts say Do not feed them, do not attend them. Remember that your thoughts are not your friends. Your thoughts try to excite, confuse, intimidate and mislead you. They will tell you all kinds of things DO NOT listen to your thoughts. Even your good thoughts which transcend everything may drag you into action and reaction.
What matters for your Divine Bliss, for your joy and your happiness is your joyful silence and you don't need to reserve a time for meditation, you can do it while driving your car, while at work or while listening to music. It's just being aware of yourself.
You are nothing but a presence or Blissful silence. The rest is a projection of your mind, this universe is an optical illusion. You look at the movie and see all kinds of heinous things happening but then you catch yourself and say it's just a movie isn't it and so it is with life. If You observe everything that is happening in life. If you observe, you see, however never react. If you are never for or against, if you understand this then this seeing frees you, the realisation of "You are what you are seeking" stops the race. The answer is always hiding within you alone and there is nothing in the external world which can free you, for the external world is an emanation of your own mind your own thought and your own imagination.
This world is created by you and your thoughts the only way to shatter this great illusion is through silent observation not through the analysis of good and bad but rather through simple silence abandoning all Concepts, all wounds and all dogmas. By Firmly abandoning all your thoughts and resting your mind in silence The Grace is revealed. The greatest truth is to exclude and not to add. So empty yourself totally of all your ideas, your feelings, everything must be emptied and when you become totally and completely empty the realization dawns in the emptiness, and the self starts to shine, it is your very own true nature. However no matter how many times the Vedas tell you, the masters guide you, you are still intoxicated by the wine of Maya indulged in thinking, judging good and bad coming to conclusions, acting or overreacting defending your ego and trying to take charge of your life as well of others inflating your ego and creating new wounds every minute.
Let go completely, absolutely completely, so completely that you will not feel any body no mind no actor, no urge of action or reaction and you'll be relieved of all your burdens you will feel an immense freedom. You will be happier than you've ever been in your life. all of a sudden you'll realize that none of this matters and you'll know that there's no one really doing anything, nothing needs to be done at all. The universe is it's own master. The Bearer the Preserver the Destroyer.

"A fish that became Enlighten"
Once upon a time there lived a small fish in an ocean. It was very naughty and rebellious. It would hang out in dangerous places where no other fish dared to venture which were shunned for them. Like the habitat of sharks and dolphins and yet it would go there stealthily byte them on their tails and swam away. She never listened to her friends.
Once her mother took her to attend the Jal-poojan(Water worship occasion) where all the other creatures of the sea were also present. There they seem to worship an empty bowl. An old Crab who was the chief priest danced like crazy and exclaimed let's worship the Divine Water present in the bowl which gives us life and food. Which gives us shelter and protects us from untimely death which roams above us in the kingdom of Air & light. Which saves us from clutches of deadly thirst. May the Tears of joy and gratitude drench our eyes.
The little fish asked its mother "Mom where is the kingdom of Air & Light? Mom said, I don't know my child. I have never been to another place than our village in my life. Then the little fish asked mom what is "Thirst" and why is it deadly? Then the mom replied, I don't know that either it must be some deadly disease, I have heard whoever comes to know thirst can't communicate it to others and dies. Mommy what are tears? Mom replied don't ask me such difficult questions my dear. It is said whosoever gets to know the tears becomes divine himself. Mommy one last question: what is Water and why do we worship it?
The Mom got infuriated and said I really don't know. The little fish asked curiously is that bowl really filled with water Mommy? " Mom said "Yes everyone says so". The little fish's eyes twinkled with a wicked idea. It got rid of her mom's company and darted toward the Divine Bowl. It swam inside the Divine bowl and came out declaring there is nothing in it. No Water! Nothing Divine! The bowl is empty.
All the other devotees present there got infuriated at her unholy action, even the king. He ordered its army to arrest her at once. They swam to get hold of the little fish but it slipped away and swam towards the bright surface which was a shunned territory as it was the territory of light and air and God of death roamed above it. It was believed whosoever goes there never comes back so they left the pursuit and considered her dead.
The little fish, scared for her life and filled with all the questions, wandered here and there just below the surface of the water. It watched many dead creatures float above, some half eaten, some fully torn and rotten. Its heart sank down in fear, panic and anxiety ran in its veins. Then a loud voice softly stuck its ears "Hello there you look scared ? When the small fish looked at the caller her eyes got filled with surprise. It was an old Dolphin fish left alone on the verge of death, it told the dolphin the whole ordeal and also communicated her deep desire to know the truth. the Dolphin thought for a while and then blinked its eye. She told the little fish I can't give you the answers you will have to deduce it for yourself. True knowledge cannot be borrowed or understood by listening, it has to be searched, experienced, grasped and testified first hand, but I can show you a glimpse of that realm.
Saying so the old Dolphin asked the little fish to sit tight on her nose than the Dolphin went deep inside the waters and darted towards the surface, she broke out of the surface and flung into the air. The little fish watched the whole action speechlessly as everything happened so fast and in a blink of an eye the little adventure ride got over. The Dolphin dove back again. She asked the little fish, So did you get the answer to your questions? The little fish replied everything happened so quickly that I couldn't get the time to grasp the reality and understand it.. Dear Dolphin If you don't mind, may I ask you to please take me there for a little longer?
The Dolphin agreed to it but cautioned the little fish whatever happens in the realm of air and light, I will not be held responsible for the consequences as longer jumps tend to attract the Gods of death which really roam above and there indeed is a risk of loss of life. The little fish pondered over it and replied I have nothing left to live for, my people have already abandoned me, than why should I not take the risk of death in the quest of true knowledge, at least I will have the satisfaction that I tried and will die in peace. Seeing such a deep desire for the answers in the little fish the Dolphin readied. She asked her to cling to its nose no matter what happens as the Dolphin planned to take the highest and longest jump of her life.
As the dolphin dove deeper into the ocean the little fish clung to her nose the Dolphin went twice as deep as it had gone earlier and then shot upwards towards the surface as a missile. It broke out of the surface and went high and high in the air. The little fish's mind filled with excitement and joy it felt like why not spread the fins and immerse in the joyful feeling of free flight thinking so the little fish let herself free of the dolphins nose in the air and started to fall free. As soon as it was about to touch the surface of the ocean an eagle came with a lightning speed. It had seen her clung at the Dolphins nose but didn't dare to try for it. Because the dolphins were large and heavy but seeing this little fish fall alone it dove towards it and caught her in its clutches.
The little fish could feel the grip of claws. It was indeed the God of death. The fish could clearly feel the Air which touched its body. The gentle invisible brush of air that indeed was a very new feeling which she had never experienced in her life before. She also felt the heat of the sun and bright sky filled with clouds. She saw other birds diving in water for fishing. Now she clearly understood why the realm of light and air is called the territory of death. The fish also clearly felt the medium missing in which her body used to swim. It felt as if she was living in a dream state. Soon she started to think if somehow she gets out of the clutches she might be saved. So she bit the eagle on her leg with full might. The sudden byte rattled the eagle and it opened its clutch. The little fish started to fall freely and hit the leaves of a tree and then landed on a soft heap of dust in the jungle. Shocked by the hit it took. Her senses returned a few moments later.
Now she was left alone in a jungle nowhere near the shore. In scorching heat many predators were flying in the sky, she started to feel intense thirst, breathlessness made her realise that her death was near. Her whole body started to demand water. She started to tremble and shake in panic. suddenly she heard a deep voice "Pull up your strength and jump the fish looked at the caller it was a turtle lying upside down the fish smiled and said you are going to die no one is gonna help you yet you are telling me to jump why, don't you see we both are going to die in a few moments .The turtle said we shouldn't assume ourself dead until the assumption is alive" come on jump a puddle is just a few steps away you are thirsty quench your thirst and gain some energy the fish listened and pondered over it the turtle was right "we are not dead and till the last breath one should keep on trying" thinking so the fish jumped with total strength the turtle called out one more jump and the fish finally got into a small puddle water that was not very deep just little enough to give her a respite a little breath. She called out to the turtle Hello there, thanks for the help but I feel sorry for you as I can't help you.
The turtle said don't be sorry at-least I have got someone to talk to, I was so bored alone here. How far are we from the sea? the fish asked. For me it's a three days walk but for you half an hour's swim, replied the turtle. The little fish knew they were going to die for certain as the puddle was drying up quickly in the scorching heat. She asked the turtle how long have you been stuck here. The turtle replied, since last night. Small fish couldn't believe her ears and asked the turtle How do you keep yourself so hopeful in such a life threatening situation. The turtle replied my grandfather had taught me that when every hope dies then miracles happen and the Divine hands save you and I'm waiting for that with all faith. The fish felt the puddle had dried up and breath started to fade. She felt a faintness surrounding her and her eyes blurring.
Then all of a sudden lightning and thunder shook the whole jungle. She could feel the sensation and jolt and it started to pour heavily. The puddle teemed up again giving her a little more breath. The turtle cried in joy. Lo can you feel the divine hand and then all of a sudden a large stream of water came. It pushed the turtle in an upright position and took the fish along its flow. The little fish came back to her senses and felt grateful. The stream took the straight in the ocean; it not only quenches her thirst but re-energised her whole being and relieved all her fears. It was as if the GOD itself took her in the arms. Upon realisation of truth the little fish cried in joy and tears of gratitude drenched her eyes as now she had clearly understood the Divinity of Water. The nature of water and the true meaning of thirst.
The little fish swam immediately towards the water worship temple. All the devotees present there demanded to punish and kill the little Devil fish, some were even surprised how she managed to survive the danger zone and dared to come back but she didn't pay any heed to them and their threats. She went straight the chief priest Mr. Crab and said I want to dance with you, you indeed told the truth sir. Mr. Crab looked in the eyes of the little fish and said your eyes are swollen with tears, a true sign of realisation. The chief priest Mr. Crab announced that he has found his true successor in her and now on she will take care of the water worship ceremony thus bowing to her they both danced joyfully.

There was a lot of commotion in a tribal village situated in the forest today because Collector Sahib was going to visit there.
Last time during the rainy season this village had become headlines in the news. A reporter had reported that all the houses
here were submerged and the tribal people were forced to live on trees. Collector Sahib gave a powerful speech and told the
people there how the government is committed to their better life and it does not want the people of that village to face any
trouble in the rains and that is why the government has provided tarpaulins for them.
There was no limit to the happiness of the villagers. The villagers happily accepted the waterproof tarpaulin and bid farewell
to the Collector. The rainy season had come, once again there was heavy rain, the entire village was submerged. The reporter
again reached the village and this time he again did the same reporting. Here, the Government's false claims have been
exposed. Every house in the village is leaking and this time the people of the village are once again forced to live by climbing
trees.
Collector Saheb got a strong rebuke from the government. Collector Saheb again visited the village filled with anger and
confusion. He called Buddhirao, the only educated and most intelligent man of the village and also gathered the people of
the village. He asked everyone, I had given you such a good tarpaulin, what did you do with that tarpaulin?
Jhallu the barber said that the tarpaulin was really of very good quality, sir. The cloth was also very thick. My wife was very
happy to see that tarpaulin. She immediately cut it and made four big bags from it to keep the grains. Sir, apart from this, two
big mats also came out, not even hair sticks to them. Now I cut people's hair sitting on them. Then Mallu the fisherman said, you destroyed the tarpaulin. Sir, I made a big water tank out of it, I keep fish in it and make a lot of money.
Then Lalua the blacksmith said, Hey, I was tired of blowing in the furnace, so I made a very big bellows with it. Now I easily
fill air in my furnace and shape the iron items. Collector sir asked, “Hey brother, what is this bellows?” Buddhirao said, Sir,
bellows is a kind of air filling device which is like a balloon and then air comes out from it which fans the fire of the furnace.
Collector Saheb got confused and asked, isn't there anyone in the village who has not climbed the tree this time? The villagers
told him, sir, Buddhi Rao's family has not climbed the tree this time. So Collector Saheb said, at least one intelligent person
has been found in this village.
Buddhirao said, don't praise me so much, Sir, I am the only educated person in this village. I have studied till eighth standard,
hence I knew how to use the tarpaulin properly and I did it. Lalua the blacksmith said with jealousy, "Don't brag about your
education, tell us directly why you didn't climb the tree." Buddhirao said, you idiot, I have made a stone platform in the kitchen
of my house. As the rain started a group of snakes had entered our house, so we all were sitting on that platform throughout
the rain. And somehow got rid of those snakes.
Collector Sahib got puzzled and said, Hey brother, tell the whole village how you used the tarpaulin properly and how you were
saved from the weather. Buddhirao said, Sir, as I had told you I am the only educated man in the entire village. I had understood
from seeing the thickness of the tarpaulin that it was of very good quality and waterproof so I have made two quilts and a
mattress from my tarpaulin, now my family will not shiver in the cold and the quilt-mattress will not get wet in the rain. On hearing
this, the people of the village clapped loudly for the wisdom of Buddhirao and also raised slogans to hail him. Seeing all this,
Collector Saheb got up and went away silently from there, beating his head.
Lesson from the story: Without knowing the importance and usefulness of a thing, you cannot use it properly. Please understand the importance and usefulness of your life and wit and use it properly.
